Private Harmonica Lessons

General Information

I teach private lessons at my apartment in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn (F train, Carroll St. station - minutes from Manhattan). I also travel to Manhattan and nearby Brooklyn to teach at students' homes and offices.

Private students can take as few as one lesson, although I currently have students that have been taking weekly lessons with me for several years.

I have my own Teaching Method Booklet/CD; private students are required to purchase this at a cost of $15.

Lesson Cost

The cost is $40 for a one hour lesson at my apartment, or $60 for a one hour lesson at your apartment or office in Manhattan or nearby Brooklyn.

Please note: I have a 48 hour cancellation policy and expect students to pay for lessons cancelled less than 48 hours prior to scheduled lesson time.

Harmonicas Recommended

Lee Oskar harmonica A 10 hole diatonic harmonica in the key of "C" is needed. A second harmonica in the key of "A" is recommended but not absolutely necessary. It's a little bit easier to learn different techniques with 2 different keyed instruments. A few models that I recommend are:
